Brooke pollack - Managing Partner

Brooke is the Founder & Managing Partner of Hutt Capital, a blockchain venture capital fund of funds and direct investment firm.

Prior to Hutt Capital, Brooke worked for ten years across private fund, secondary and direct investing with leading institutional investors. Most recently, he spent 4+ years with Greenspring Associates, a venture capital platform with >$8 billion under management where he worked on transactions representing over $750 million of invested or committed capital, and spearheaded their blockchain and crypto efforts.

Earlier in his career, Brooke was at Hamilton Lane (NASDAQ: HLNE), a global private equity advisory and asset management firm, where he focused on private equity secondary transactions.

Prior, Brooke was at CTC Consulting, an investment consulting firm for ultra high net worth individuals and families, where he focused on sourcing, diligence and monitoring of fund investments across a wide range of private market strategies.

Brooke lives in Portland, OR with his wife and three kids.

Bart stephens - Advisor

Bart Stephens is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Blockchain Capital, the first venture capital fund to invest exclusively in the blockchain technology sector and the first to raise a venture fund through an ICO. Blockchain Capital is the pioneer and most established VC firm in the Blockchain sector with more than 75 portfolio companies across four funds.

Bart has a background as both an operating entrepreneur and a venture capitalist. Prior to Blockchain Capital, Bart Stephens was Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Stephens Investment Management (SIM), a family owned and operated hedge fund and venture capital firm. Bart and his brother and Co-founder, Brad, invented the term and pioneered “Nanocap” investing – venture capital style investing in the public markets focused on sub micro-cap equities.

Prior to co-founding SIM, Bart was Executive Vice President, Venture Capital for Ivanhoe Capital Corporation (ICC), an international investment firm. Before joining ICC, Bart was a founding investor and Head of Corporate & Business Development for grew to become the internet’s largest cancer related web site before being sold to Pharmacia (now Pfizer) in 2001.

Prior to, Bart spent more than two years with E*TRADE, an early internet innovator in online financial services. While at E*TRADE, he held senior positions focused on product marketing, business development and corporate development.

Bart earned a B.A. in Political Science from Princeton University.


shane wall - advisor

Shane Wall is the Chief Technology Officer of HP Inc. and Global Head of HP Labs. In this role, Shane drives the company’s technology vision and strategy, new business incubation, and the overall technical and innovation community.

Shane has been at HP for more than 10 years, spanning two stints a decade apart. He held engineering and management roles leading peripheral development, ASIC development, embedded systems, as well as product and platforms, before moving to Intel.

At Intel, Shane spent more than a decade as an executive in corporate technology, channel platform solutions and mobile communications. He was also directly responsible for ventures and investments during his time with Intel Capital.

Shane holds a passion for the startup community and is an active angel investor, serving on several startup and technology boards. Shane was the co-founder of venture-backed PrintPaks, a pioneer in multimedia imaging.

He is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Oregon State University. He holds multiple patents.

Shane is based in Vancouver, Washington.

Tom Gonser - advisor

Tom Gonser is an Investment Partner at Seven Peaks Ventures in Bend Oregon where he invests in early stage technology companies with a focus on digital enterprise platforms, identity, blockchain and smart contracts.

Tom is also the Founder of DocuSign, where he developed the first cloud-based electronic signature service which has grown into a global transaction management platform enabling more than 450,000 companies and hundreds of millions of users to make nearly every agreement, approval process, or transaction digital. DocuSign went public in 2018.

Prior to DocuSign, Tom founded several other northwest companies including NetUpdate and GPSFlight. Tom believes the best way to predict the future is to invent it.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys golf, mountain biking, windsurfing and winemaking.

Joe Eagan - advisor

Joe is the President of Polychain Capital, managing all the non-investment related activity.

He was previously the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Development for Tiger Legatus, a long/short equity hedge fund. From 2008 to 2014 Joe was a Principal at Investcorp working within the Hedge Fund Group’s business development team, focusing primarily on Investcorp’s seeding business.

Prior to joining Investcorp, Joe managed risk arbitrage and special situations portfolios at Amber Capital and Naufal Capital, both event driven hedge funds. Joe began his career at Bank of America in the media and telecom investment banking division, where he worked on M&A transactions and related debt and equity financings.

Joe holds a BA in political science from Georgetown University, Washington DC.

Matthew is the co-founder of Origin Protocol, a San Francisco based startup that is building the blockchain platform for enabling decentralized peer-to-peer marketplaces in the global sharing economy.

Matthew is a serial entrepreneur and has founded several companies previously. He served as co-founder of PriceSlash (acquired by BillShark) and as co-founder and CEO of Unicycle Labs.

Earlier in his career, Matthew was an early employee and one of the earliest Product Managers at YouTube (acquired by Google), leading multiple products on the consumer, partnership, and monetization teams. Later, he was VP of Product at Qwiki (acquired by Yahoo) and VP of Product at Bonobos (acquired by Walmart).

He has a MS and BS from Stanford University.

Joel is Senior Partner at Sullivan & Worcester and Chair of the Fintech and Blockchain Practice.

Joel is a highly sought-after legal advisor in the blockchain space, actively working with a large number of clients in structuring token distributions and enterprise blockchain applications. Joel brings more than 30 years of legal experience in a career that includes time as an AmLaw 100 partner, the former U.S. general counsel of a global financial institution and a venture capitalist.

Joel is leading policy initiatives on global regulatory issues for blockchain on behalf of the Global Blockchain Business Council and the Blockchain Research Institute. He is also a member of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance’s Legal Working Group, which is developing guidance on best practices for ICOs. He is recognized for his ability to deftly manage complex financial transactions, especially those involving sophisticated structured finance and derivatives matters, and has an extensive and unique combination of transactional and regulatory experience. Joel gave the key note speech "ICOs – Best Practices" at the World Economic Forum’s Blockchain Central in Davos, Switzerland in January 2018.

Joel represents a diverse client base, including financial institutions, top 10 cryptocurrencies, governments, dealers, corporations, investment managers, mutual funds, hedge funds and pension plans.

Will O’brien - advisor

Will is an entrepreneur and investor in Silicon Valley, with expertise in blockchain, data and analytics, fintech, and gaming.

Will has founded three companies and contributed to the successful exit of five companies, collectively worth more than $1 billion in returned capital. He is also an active investor and advisor for 70+ early stage startups and foundational tokens.

Will was co-founder and CEO of BitGo, a leading bitcoin security company. Will is recognized as a thought leader in the blockchain industry and has helped to grow positive awareness of crypto through public speaking, strategic partnerships with incumbents, and policy work.

Will was more recently COO at Keen IO (acquired by ScaleWorks), an analytics platform for developers backed with $30M in venture funding from Sequoia Capital.

Earlier, Will was SVP at Big Fish Games (acquired for $885 million by Churchill Downs, NASDAQ:CHDN), and GM at TrialPay (acquired by Visa, NSYE:V).

Will holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.


Gavin gillas - advisor

Gavin is Managing Partner of YGC, a blockchain-focused growth equity fund and venture studio. At YGC, he works with enterprise transformation leaders to aid their tech adoption of blockchain.

Gavin is a former Intellectual Property attorney who has negotiated over 200 technology commercialization deals for clients including Microsoft, HP, Intel, Visa, IBM, Adobe, MIT, Samsung, Walmart, Viacom, PwC, and Honeywell.  

Gavin also founded and sold an Intel Capital-backed software company to RR Donnelly in 2016. Gavin serves as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Texas business school, and mentors for Techstars, Galvanize, and DivInc.
